Applications of insulation glass

Whereas single glazing used to be the standard, double, or even triple glazing insulation solutions are now the norm in modern construction projects. The insulating effect contributes to a comfortable living environment and is also more environmentally friendly. In addition to the traditional insulation techniques, in which the gaps are filled with noble gas, nowadays we’re seeing new methods arising. An invisible but highly effective insulating coating on the glass provides excellent insulation against cold and heat. In addition, the standard aluminium spacers are now also being replaced by newly designed solutions, such as Warm Edge. These conduct less heat in the window trims, which leads to less condensation and mould around the grooves. Not only is this more sustainable and appealing, but it’s also better for our health.

Types of insulation glass

Scheuten offers two types of insulation glass: Scheuten Isolide® (double insulation glass) and Scheuten Trisolide® (triple insulation glass). Both types are available with additional features including safety, noise insulation, solar and thermal protection and burglary protection.
