Applications of laminated glass
For the production of laminated glass, two or more glass plates are formed under high pressure and compressed using the special PVB film. This layer keeps the glass intact in the event of damage, making it highly suited to applications in which injury safety is paramount. You will find laminated glass in fencing, balustrades and glass floors. Furthermore, it is often used as safety glass for burglar-proof, bullet-proof or explosion-proof windows and doors.
By using PVB film, laminated glass offers many more advantages that allow it to be used for various projects. The film reduces harmful UV rays by 99%, which also prevents discolouration in furniture. The film also has a thermal insulation effect, which retains heat or cold in the room. It also offers sound insulation and can include your own print design.
